Our team members have always been committed to higher education in the United States. In 2008, the Taito and Ruta Alofaituli (TARA) Scholarship was established in Carson, California as a way to give back to communities similar to their own. TARA is a private scholarship to be awarded each year to at least one Pacific Islander, college-bound (4-year university), high school senior. You can find more information about the scholarship at www.alofaitulischolarship.org

Over the years, we realized a need to make Pacific Histories / Studies more accessible to communities. Although other means of learning are available, we believe in effective classroom learning to teach and discuss topics and themes related to the Pacific. REP promotes higher education, but the reality is, not everyone who wants to know this knowledge will be able to enroll in a Pacific-related course at a college or university. REP hopes to make this knowledge accessible to everyone who has a heart to learn through both classroom teaching and research consultancy.

There are a lot more opportunities for our youth and adults to access our cultural knowledge through dance, music, and tattoo rituals. REP hopes to add to this cultural learning by providing formal and informal classes that will deepen your knowledge of the Pacific past, understand the current changes in the islands or communities, and the sustainability of this knowledge for generations to come. REP is here to fill that gap.
